Sourabh Mukherjee

Sourabh’s stories are about human relationships. His stories delve into the inner recesses of our minds. An Electronics and Telecommunications Engineer from Jadavpur University, Kolkata and a South Point High School alumnus. In his day-job, Sourabh works in a senior leadership position with Accenture and has worked for more than two decades in a variety of roles in leading global information technology firms like IBM, Cognizant, Infosys and Wipro.

Sourabh is the author of the psychological thriller novels The Colours of Passion: Unravelling Dark Secrets behind the Limelight (Aug 2017) published by Readomania and In the Shadows of Death: A Detective Agni Mitra Thriller (Dec 2015), published by Srishti Publishers and Distributors.

His books have received accolades from readers, book critics and the mainstream national media, the most prominent among them being The Times of India, The Hindu, Business Standard, The New Indian Express, Punjab Tribune, Yahoo India News, Zee News, The Free Press Journal, Absolute India Tabloid, Go-Getter, the Go-Air in-flight magazine, and Shubh Yatra, the Air India in-flight magazine.

An eminent blogging site called his book‘In the Shadows of Death’ one of the 6 books that broke stereotypes in 2015, and another rated it among 15 top thrillers by contemporary Indian writers. 'The Colours of Passion’ was included among the Top 10 New Arrivals in Starmark outlets across the country for the month of October 2017 and was consistently among the Top 10 new releases in Indian Writing in Amazon India.

His other books include the Kindle e-books Nargis - Through my Summers: Romance Shorts 1 and Loves Lost: Romance Shorts 2, also available in paperback as Romance Shorts (2016), a collection of four dark-romance short stories. The book has been highly appreciated by readers and bloggers across the nation. The book has been rated among the top 10 unconventional love stories by contemporary authors by a blogging site, and was ranked at #4 among popular romantic books in an online poll conducted by a popular youth e-zine.

Sourabh has written for anthologies like Bee Turns 3, published in October 2017 by Bee Books. He has also written columns for Sportskeeda, India’s largest all-sports website, and Yahoo! Sports. He was the recipient of the Golden Pen Award in the Monsoon Romance Contest 2014 for his story "The Girl of My Monsoons" organized by Sulekha.com and judged by an eminent panel of literary luminaries.

Sourabh has participated in and his books have been featured in the Lit Fest and Book Fair as part of Antaragni, the annual Fest of IIT Kanpur (2016), the Supernatural Literary Festival, Kolkata (2017), the Tri-Series Debate organized by Rotary Club, Kolkata on International Women’s Day (2017) and the World Book Fair, Delhi (2015, 2016).

A keen observer of human behaviour and cultural diversities, Sourabh loves travelling and has travelled across USA and various countries in Europe and Asia. An avid reader of fiction, Sourabh is equally passionate about photography, movies and music.
